This incredibly unique, high energy, funky hard rock band blew up the LA scene and had a pending development deal with Warner Bros through BCP productions in 1994. The musicianship and energy of the band and Los Angeles fan base was incredible. They hit the circuit with their own funky, heavy, hip hop style at the end of the heavy metal era and the beginning of the grunge era.
They were given mass appraisal by club owners and industry insiders and were projected to go straight to the top. They recorded their debut album at Westlake Studios with Producer Brian Christian (Engineer/Producer for Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper etc.). Then suddenly in 1994 the Singer broke up the band to start a new band called (Hed) PE. Many people think L.U.S.T. would have been a massive success. It's a travesty that they couldn't make it one more year to see the release of their album.
However 6 of the songs from the debut album were recovered after all those years due to the help of one diligent fan in Holland named Roel van Rossum. He located the lead guitarist Neel Viradia and Brian Christian and Neel contacted the original drummer Eric Hurwit who provided additional pictures and swag in order to bring LUST back to the public. Guitar player Sergio Cardenas and his wife provided the amazing footage of the '93 and '94 Troubadour shows. Additional demo tapes were recovered and hopefully even more will see the light of day eventually. All of it will be posted right here on this website. For now; enjoy the LUST E.P. Live videos, fan made music videos, art and the pictures. In the words of Jahred "If you don't like it, you're in the wrong f*cking place!"
